This MegaChess Fiberglass Chess Set with a 48" King is a scaled down version of our beautiful 72" Fiberglass Chess Set. It is one of the finest chess life-size chess sets in the world. (We also make the other - our Teak Chess Set with a 72" King!) When only the top-of-the-line will do, this is the chess set with no peer. This 48" chess set, made of fiberglass, is quite dramatic in its presentation, whether located in an expansive yard, house terrace, foyer, and even a large room with this as its central attraction.

The set is made of durable, lightweight Fiberglass and Resin material. The King weighs 16 pounds and can easily be picked up by a child. Unlike our 72" FIberglass Chess Set, the base of this set is sealed and covered with a protective rubber plate. To transport the entire MF72 chess set, plan on one full-size pickup truck or equivalent. The best approach is to lay the major pieces on their sides with padding.
