Tunics for 32-Person Chess Game (MU01)

Imagine the PTA announcement:

Our 3rd graders will be playing our 4th graders a most unusual game of chess. We will be giving life-sized chess a whole new meaning.

Local chess masters will be playing a real game, directing the kids to their squares. Each student will be reciting their lines with each move.

Hands are free for musical instruments, mime skits, etc.

If you want to inspire kids to play chess, give them something they will be talking about for weeks.

Tunics vs. T-shirts

Tunics are better than t-shirts because:

1. Easily slips over an existing shirt, reducing the need for washings (see at left).

2. One size fits all (see at right). Just bunch up the shoulder for the smallest player. No sleeves hanging down to the ground.

3. Motivate kids to try it by the other name for tunics: chic tank tops for girls and muscle T's for boys.
