Qty is the total quantity per piece. Each chess set
ships with the regulation 32 pieces. Width is the diameter of
the base, measured in inches, and is accurate to ±10%.
Height is the distance from the base to the highest part of the piece,
measured in inches, and is accurate to ±10%. Weight is
the weight of each single piece, accurate to ±15%. The total weight is
for all 32 chess pieces. For shipment, add to that the containers and packing
material (about another 15%). |

A wire frame is the lightest way to make a large, strong chess
piece. See the piece weights in the table to the right. Even small children can
lift these MegaChess pieces that are taller than they are.
Each is hand made by the talented artist Chris Myers to insure
that these metal sculptures will be the talk of any garden party.
MegaChess wire frames are
rugged ¼" diameter welded steel.
They store easily in a closet since
they stack partly inside one another. And read how these can be used in chess
topiaries.
Each piece comes with hard rubberized
anti-scratch pads as shown at right.
For a chessboard, the 13" squares of the RolaBoard are ideal.
