Qty is the total quantity per piece, black and white. Each chess set ships with the regulation 32 pieces. Width is the diameter of the base, measured in feet, and is accurate to ±15%. Height is the distance from the base to the highest part of the piece, measured in feet, and is accurate to ±20%. Weight is the weight of each single piece, accurate to ±25%. The total weight is for all 32 chess pieces, not including packing materials.

This MegaChess set is not for everyone.

It is playable, though with some difficulty, particularly on windy days. It is also expensive. But then you do end up with the largest playable chess set in the world.

The bottom of each piece is designed with tripod subchambers to keep the piece upright. In addition, the central bottom panel has a 1-foot square of Velcro that can be attached to the chessboard, for example, a parking lot. The chessboard would require 6-foot squares, forming an area 48 feet on a side.

All MegaChess products are in stock and ready to ship. This one is different in that it is built to order and requires a 3 week lead time for production.

Almost any colors are available, but the current design calls for brown and eggshell white.

Single pieces are available for that unusual conference, event, or marketing prop.
